Herman Cain; America Has Got To Learn To Take A Joke

Herman Cain responds to his idea to create an electrified fence at the Mexican Border which would KILL anyone trying to cross it. His response? America has got to learn to take a joke. Yes, a joke is made at the expense of those who would be trying to enter the country through the fence. But is he really joking? At first he seemed to be serious, then when called on the carpet by many other Republican organizations he stepped back a bit on this statement. Then still later he toned it down to a joke level. I ask, is this anyway to run a campaign for President by joking about others incineration at a border fence or by talking about the immigration problem?
